Jay Pavlina

Jay Pavlina is a filmmaker and game developer… however, he seems to be more of the latter these days. If you’ve ever played that Super Mario Flash game where you can choose to be Link, Megaman or any number of iconic Nintendo characters, you’ve enjoyed Jay’s work. That game is called “Super Mario Crossover” and it’s something Jay has worked on for a couple of years now. His original intent with it was to draw attention to his comedy films. As he tells us though, he had no idea it would be as popular as it is now.
Jay is a pretty laid back guy. He says he just wants to make people laugh with his films. He hopes to release some of them on his site and YouTube in the near future. During the interview Jay tells us about some of the unusual spots he’s lived in… and we’re not talking about cities or towns here. He tells us about his early film work, where he went to film school and why he’s not to happy with said school.
It’s an interesting hour with a guy that could easily be Charlie’s “personality double” if there’s such a thing. You can check out Jay Pavlina’s website, Exploding Rabbit, in the Show Links below as well as one example of his YouTube videos where he plays and commentates his own game.
