3-Years And Over 6 GB Of Shouting
Podcast: Play in new window | Download | Embed
It was on this day 3-years ago that 5 simpletons set out to make podcasting history. That amazing history has yet to happen on the scale we all originally envisioned, but we’ve had some memorable happenings on our little program nonetheless.I remember when we started the show I said to the guys, “We’ll give it 10 episodes and see what kind of response we get.” Later it turned into, “We’ll go for 6-months and see what happens.” And now here we are a few years in and nearly 140 episodes deep and we’re still chuggin’ along! Both show and beer-wise.
We’d like to thank all of you who listen to us every week… or even occasionally. Without you… we’d still be doing this show, it’s just nobody would be listening.
Below is our very first episode of the Who Asked You? show. Back then the show hovered around 30-minutes each week. It was pre-recorded on MiniDV video tape and we had a hodgepodge of different microphones (hence the difference in sound between hosts). It’s painful for me to listen to this. And the image of our old site design (left) is like looking at embarrassing baby pictures. But, we thought you’d all get a kick out of it. At least we’re not naked in a bathtub. Those pics are on a different server!
One of our original co-hosts, Keith Fearnow, was long gone by the time this capture of the old site was taken, but the design was the same, so I threw in the old header for shits-n-giggles. In the image you can read about Episode 79 and see the way the Show Links were poorly laid out. This was the final week before we switched to the current design thanks largely to WordPress. The old site had a built in Who Asked You? Store courtesy of Amazon.com’s affiliate services, which we later replaced with forums that were rather short-lived.
I know what some of you may be thinking, “3-years? Big deal!” Well it is a big deal to us. When it’s your own creation and something you’ve spent so much time molding and developing it’s cool to pass these little milestones and think back on all that’s happened so far. So lets all do just that and listen to Episode 1 (no titles back then)… and here’s to another 3 years… give or take…

As for the Show Links of our first episode? There were none except for comparison pictures of the old Star Trek cast with their JJ Abram’s counterparts and a YouTube video of a lady on THE PRICE IS RIGHT telling then new host, Drew Carey she had to go potty.
“Wear” Were You In The 80s?
Exciting news from the Who Asked You? front…
There’s even more merchandise you can choose from to support us! We realize not everyone wants to wear shirts with words like fuck, pussy, dick and cunt on them… so we’re now affiliates of 2 more awesome, but G-Rated, T-Shirt stores!!! The first one, 80sTees.com, is a site you may have been to in the past. They’ve been around for a while and have an enormous selection of shirts featuring your favorite nostalgic brands, logos, characters and more from the 1980s. But they’ve also got cool torso coverings from current shows like “The Big Bang Theory” and our fave, “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”. When you visit their site through any of the links here on ours and make a purchase it helps us out because we get a percentage of each shirt sold! You can start browsing their selection now by clicking the banner below.
Our other affiliation is with a shirt shop whose name is as off-beat and funny as their clothing, SnorgTees.com. They’ve got shirts for every style of humor. If you like the stupid shit we say on our show, then you’ll like their shirts! The same goes for them as our other shirt providers, you buy a shirt using our site’s links and we get a cut. It’s like an Internet T-Shirt Retailer Mofia… It’s great! Click below and start shopping!
Who Asked You? returns next week on June 28th with new episodes of our show. We hope you can hang on until then. If you can’t then here’s a random Asian guy beat boxing the Super Mario music to hold you over until our return.
A Food Network Chef’s “Criminal Intent”

Also in the news, NBC has cancelled the original Law & Order series after an astonishing 20 seasons on the air. Negotiations for a record-breaking 21st season ran late into the night, but ultimately the peacock pulled the plug citing the series’ low ratings and high production costs. The season finale has already been shot, so the story and characters won’t really reach any closure you would expect from a show’s last episode, but L&O fans can breathe a sigh of relief for the moment. NBC and the series’ executive producer are currently talking about rounding-out some of the characters and their story lines on one of the other franchise’s series or perhaps doing a 2-hour final movie. And fans of the show still have the other 2 series to give them their fix. Besides Criminal Intent, which airs on USA, SVU was renewed for another NBC season along with a whole new spin-off called “Law & Order: Los Angeles”. Law & Order is one of the most successful series franchises in TV history. With it’s cancellation it ties the old “Gunsmoke” show for longest running drama.
We’re still wondering if you would name your baby after a TV or movie character. If you haven’t done so yet, vote on the We Ask You Online Poll and tell us. We’ll read the results on next week’s episode.
And if you’re wondering about this week’s new releases… they’re listed below. Some of them may sound familiar. That’s because something funky was going on over at Amazon.com with their new releases last week. Some of them were under the wrong dates. And therefore were read on the show last week. Anywho… here’s what’s coming out this week.

Where The Fudge Is Who Asked You?
Who Asked You? is off this week. We’ll be back next Monday, April 12th at 3pm/PT with another new episode of our fine program. Until then here’s something to hold you over. It’s called “Scarface School Play”… perhaps you’ve seen it and wondered what school district would’ve approved of such a play. Sadly, no such school district is that awesome. It’s all fake. The video was produced by Marc Klasfeld of Rockhard Films. He directs major commercials, music videos and other indie film projects.
It took them about a month to produce this little viral gem. And here it is for you to enjoy. The best part of the whole fudgin’ clip is when little Tony Montana is getting riddled with gun fire. If this makes you want to watch Scarface all over again, but you don’t have a copy buy one here.
And tune into Errorfm Channel 1 this Thursday at 8pm/PT as we’ll be replaying one of our best episodes to date… a very Vegemite-filled Episode 92 featuring Marshall Davis all the way from Australia!
Who Asked You? Returns Next Monday, February 8th

We Return February 8th
In the meantime, you can see this week’s new releases below and here’s a bit of news we would ordinarily bring you on the show for you to ponder over.
The CW network has ordered a pilot for a rebooted version of the failed USA Network series, Le Femme Nikita. The series was originally a 1990 French film by director, Luc Besson. It was later remade into a US film in 1993 and starred Bridget Fonda. The movie was called “Point Of No Return”. It was six years later though, in ’97 that USA adapted it into a weekly hour-long series, which developed quite the following for its fast paced action and sci-fi stories. That program ran for 5 seasons. The new reboot will have Nikita going rogue and a new assassin is trained to replace her… oh yeah, and did we mention the producer for this new version is McG?
What do you think? Tell us in an E-Mail. Are you excited for a possible return of Le Femme Nikita?
